Disable CONFIG_RTC, only enable CONFIG_PPC_RTC in the kernel config.

Dear people,
(Please CC me as I'm not currently subscribed to linux-kernel)
I'm trying to compile a new kernel for a PowerMac 9500/180MP
that I just got on a loan (so that I can learn a tiny bit
about PowerPCs) and I originally installed Debian's woody on

Hi,
I inheritted a PowerMac today - no OS and set about installing Debian on it.
Booted from floppies and installed from NFS.
When the question "Make Linux Bootable Directly From Hard Disk'' came up
see sec7.17
http://www.debian.org/releases/2.2/powerpc/ch-init-config.en.html

I have been given the opportunity to build a linux cluster
out of a student lab with dual processor G4 machines.
Since it is a student lab, the machines need to boot
the default OS (macos9) if all else fails, but
ideally boot linux when reset at night.
To this end, I want the open firmware to boo

Can anyone else on debian ppc sid verify this. If you build and
install fakeroot 0.4.5-1 do you see the following when you execute
ldconfig?

Configure Network step, right? Try ping http.us.debian.org in virtual
console 2 to see if you're on?
Thanks for the tip - yeah, I can ping both http.us.debian.org and
ftp.us.debian

Hello,
I'm planning to build up a site especially for Nubus-PowerPCs. The
nubus-pmac.sourcefore.net - project is a well start for kernels. But I'm
missing a place where I find tips & tricks using my PowerPC with Linux.
I know there are a lot of small pages. But when I'm looking for help, it

WTFisyour problem with it?
I wrote documentation. Be glad I did. If
you don't think it looks real pretty,

or simply rm -rf ~/.mozilla ~/.galeon
galeon comes with a script that does that for you and instructs you do
run it on upgrade
I finally got audio CDs to play on my ibook2. In case anyone else is
struggling with this, here's how I did it.
I'm using Woody
kernel 2.4.10-ben0
using ide-scsi for /dev/hdb
using xmms with the AudioCD Reader plugin from the xmms-cdread package
I have these sound modules loaded:
Module
Here's a little more OF black magic from NetBSD. They say to determine if a
device may be bootable, at the OF prompt type

If one of the words in the resulting list is 'open', it might be bootable.
So see what it says for the path you tried, and maybe for some of
(Yeah, I'm following myself up. So sue me. No, on second thought,
don't...)
I got DACA sound working after wakeup now. You have to put the DACA into a
low-power mode before sleep, then bring it back out of the low-power mode
afterward (but AFTER interrupts are reenabled!), and then it works. Soon
