Hi!
I'm still trying to compile my kernel. This is the error I get when booting:
EXT2_fs: unable to read superblock
isofs_read_super: bread failed, dev=03:0d, iso_blknum=16, block=32
hda=: bad access: block=0, count=1
end_request: I/O error, dev 03:0d (hda), sector 0
hfs_fs: unable to read block
I installed the Debian Potato release w/ dmasound onto a PowerMac
7600/G3 some weeks ago. I've been going up the learning curve fairly
smoothly. Now that I have the fundamentals working (XFree86 3.3.6,
netatalk, icewm, tkdesk, tetex, lyx, mozilla) I tried to use xmms to
play MOD music -- ther

Hi!
I compiled the Kernel 2.4 ... kwl, it compiled but ...
... when the kernel is boots I´m landing in the Open Firmware.
What is that ?
How did I get there ?
Strange ...
I took the Kernel that is compiled as zImage in
/usr/src/linux-pmac-devel/arch/ppc/chrpboot/
Has anyone had this problems

Hello,
I am thinking about buying an iBook and install Debian potato on it. I
have searched for some information and found different people
reporting that it was not possible to install Debian because of some
problems with the kernel.
Is this still an issue? I don't care too much about sound of air

I've got a patch that successfully fixes the too-clever hack in libXft
involing va_lists.

module, at least) build differently on kernel 2.4 systems than they do on
2.2 systems. More to the point, building xf86Wacom.c flat ou
