The friend I mentioned earlier has bought a G3 laptop, and she's ready to put Linux on it. What's the procedure? Do I still have to install LinuxPPC first? If so, is there a way to do it without having to get a CDROM? (I presume we still don't have a boot disk...) Thanks -- Rob Browning <[E

Well, I tried using the wrapper method to run netscape 408 on my system. I grabbed a complete set of oldlibs from linuxppc R4, hacked ld.so.1, and created a wrapper to set the hacked library path. I then installed 4.08 using ns-install from the tarball. I get the following: $ netscape &
