Hi,
I should have mentioned a few more things with my last e-mail. The
publisher is O'Reilly. I don't believe reviewers will be getting
payed. However, O'Reilly will be donating $1000 to Debian.
Again, if you respond to the list, please CC me since I am not
subscribed.
Thanks,

I got a lot of emails about the kernels not being available..
Verio/QualNet, home to sheer idiocy, had our connectivity screwed
royally yesterday. So I wasn't getting out much, and nobody was getting
in.
Hi,
One of the publishers I am working with needs reviewers for their SPARC and
LinuxPPC appendices in a book they are working on. Note that I don't
think this book is Debian specific. It would be good if a reviewer
could get some Debian specific stuff in there. :)

If all goes cleanly then in some days; this xfree version is untested and
the debian-source package is not yet official available.
Lets hope all goes well ...
Thnx,
Hartmut
When will the offcial XFree package for PowerPC will be added to

Aside from any other problem, add p to the list of tar options
(preserve permissions). It will save you some future problems.

First, your story is very funny -)
You have problems with the libc, i had the sames the first time i installed
debian on my powerpc.
I resolved them installing packages sparingly, being very carefull with libc
upgrade
I was wondering if there was an issue with libs pulled down from the
unstable directories and the libs of the tarball install. Here's my
situation, so get a cup of tea and a slice of toast 'cos it's involved
detail time.
I use my handy-dandy linuxppc boot image to get into a linux prompt,
