Hi!
I'm new to this list so go easy on me. I am currently running LinuxPPC
R4 on my powrmac 6500 along with MacOS 8.5.1 and BootX. But I'm not
happy with it. I am VERY interrested in Debian. But I have to start
somewhere. I am well aware of the basic install instructions available

I ended up getting my system back by using bootx + redhat installer. I
got a replacement bash and libreadline from base2_2.tgz. For some
reason cp wouldn't work when booted from the installer image, so I had
to "cat file1 > file2" plus "chmod 775 file2" to do copies.

floppies are useless. OF on that particular machine is way too
flakey, bootvars doesn't work, Quik is unreliable, have to use BootX

Does anyone know of a port to the Motorola MVME1603? As the name implies,
this is a VME board based on the 603.
Any pointers appreciated.
