for this case - two different source packages coming from the same
upstream distribution point - and it's true that the final say in

That wouldn't really help on upgrades, though - if APT::Install-Recommends
is still false and the metapackage starts recommending a new package, apt
will not install it.

a couple of interesting FTBFS on some of the buildds. I have a couple of
patches that should fix most of them, I'm in the process of setting up qemu
builders to actually test them. Once Dante builds on more Debian architectures,
I'll forward all the patches.
