Hello Debian Mentors,
I'm the package maintainer for drbd. Here is the situation.
Currently, the stable version of drbd is the 0.6.x series. A new
version is on the way, the 0.7.x series. I'd like to package the new
0.7.x version in debian, but keep the 0.6.x series in Debian as well.

I have a question. If an /etc/init.d script hangs indefinately while
waiting for user input, is this a violation of Debian policy?

Well, one thing I did make sure was to update the run levels so that
my package starts after drbd.

in regards to discussion/modification of a policy document?

I've been working on a source package to build binary drbd module debs
against stock debian kernels. See #244290 in the BTS for more
information. I modeled things after the alsa-modules-i386 source
package and after a long struggle I have my first working version. I
