when trying to build the latest version of phyml[1] in pbuilder as usual
I get a very strange error which is possibly best summarised by grepping
for gcc:
$ grep gcc phyml_3.2.20160530+dfsg-1_amd64.build | grep -v Depends | tail -n 8
