At first glance I'd say I'm packaging the game on my own, but I'm open
to alternative
My first thoughts on the packages:
1) Some of the tarballs include debian/ and their diffs are empty. In
my opinion upstream tarballs should not include the debian/ directory.
2) pdebuild on dfarc-2.99.20080819 fails (amd64):
x86_64-linux-gnu-g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I.

It's a port of the Dink Smallwood game engine, initially written for
MS Windows by RTsoft, released as free software in 2003, and modified
since then. RTsoft also agreed to release most of the game data under
the zlib license, so
