Thanks. Do you know off hand if this will also allow me to do

Hello,
I was just wondering if there was a good way of using Apt using perl?
Specifically I want to be able to check if packages are installed and
install them through a Perl application.

my way around the debian-installer source.. but it's a little confusing,
and I have a feeling running through the makefile to make sense of

Excellent. That worked, small caveat was that it was a -u-v instead of
just a -v. The -v gave errors. Thanks for the help.

OK, perhaps someone can answer this quest
cpan. I also read something about dh_make_perl, although I can
not find anything like that on my system.
What is the best way to approach this issue? Are there any FAQs/HOWTOs
which explain this process? Any informative replies will be appreciated,

dev/hdb3/, and a 205MB /usr partition on /dev/hdb4. I did surface
scans when initializing the partitions, but found no errors or bad
blocks.
I also reformatted drive D: using DOS fdisk (instead of FIPS) to create
110MB partiton. No change.
Any help appreciated. Thanks,
Derek Brown
