I originally packaged jampal a year ago. My upload was sponsored by
Kilian Krause and uploaded into Debian. To package a new upstream
version should I log a bug against Jampal for a new upstream version?
What is the process? Is it similar to uploading a new package?

Hi Torsten
The looks/*.jar files are not distributed in the package. They are
present in the source because I do
distribute them with the Windows version of jampal.
Jampal runs fine without them, and some of them are available as
separate packages in Debian, so the
user can install them if he want
/debian/pool/main/j/jampal/jampal_02.01.05-1.dsc
The only change is one line in debian/control

Hi Kilian
Sorry - I am new to this.
Does this make you my sponsor? Should I update my package on Debian
mentors to say I have found a sponsor?
Thanks

Hi Arno
Thanks for your comments. I am fixing the items you mention as well as
the ones from Benoît.
Which VCS links are you referencing in the control file? I am using the
sourceforge.net subversion for the debian files, is there a better choice?

the documentation cannot be changed since it describes a standard.
Perhaps the copyright statement for the documentation should not be
included in the debian/copyright file?

Hi Charles & pabs
Thank you. This is very helpful.

I do have a freedesktop file named jampal.desktop in addition to the
