Hello. I'm still a relatively new Debian maintainer, and learning the
ropes. I have a package (oo2c, an optimizing Oberon-2 compiler) which
is presently released for i386. A bug-report was filed against it, that
it did not build on Alpha, and I therefore investigated the matter with
the upstream
Thanks to everyone for the helpful advice. It looks like I will be giving
Rob Browning primary authority for this package, and will hopefully act in
an 'understudy' role until I am a bit more proficient with Debian packaging.
While I could try to experiment until I get it right, he indicated a nee

So what special work do library packages need, before I get in too far
over my head?
