Thanks again for doing a very thorough review of my package, Phil. I
believe I have resolved all of the issues found within.

How can I best deal with both submodules and repacking at the same time?

Alright. What we have now looks ready to push to Mentors, so I just did.

first packaging this, I
took a look at argon2 and assumed most of the other libraries were as

I've pushed what I have so far to Salsa; unless randomx is disabled, it

Letting this simmer for about a week, I have decided to focus my efforts

Thank you both for your interest and deep review of this package! I
learned a lot of minor Debian things that I didn't know about before.
I've published my changes to Salsa and Mentors. You've helped me to
address the weaker points of my package that I wasn't so sure about
(dependencies and packaging a library) and I've learned more in my
Debian packaging journey as a result!

there are always minor details to be improved. Thanks again for your

There has been a new upstream release 6.16.3 that my package has been

There is a new issue, however; though it compiles properly on armhf, the
program gives a bus error shortly after attempting to use it, and it
exits. The problem
I remember an earlier experience a few years ago attempting to compile

upstream and the underlying problem was fixed at that time).
This led me to attempt to build this package in an armhf VM, and it
