I don't think there is a policy, other than "packages should have
the
same name they have upstream" (I'm not sure if that's written
anywhere,
but it seems logical). For example, if the upstream tarball is
called
"thepowdertoy-0.1.tar.gz" or something, then "thepowdertoy" is a
sensible name. You
Hi Mateusz,
some comments/notes on your package:
1) run lintian on ,changes-file of built package. It will show a lot of
warnings, which need to be fixed.
2) use dh 9 instead of 7. It will fix hardening-warnings.
3) set the newest Standards-Version.
4) use VCS for maintaining the package.
Thanks

Hi Mateusz,
thanks for updating the package. But I have a couple of questions/notes:
1) Do not edit the old changelog-entries, even there are some mistakes.
2) You listed yourself as a maintainer instead of an old one, but the
package was not orphaned. Did you coordinate that?
3) Why do you use a

It solves it for Debian, but the problem should be fixed ups

Hi,
For the python-astropy package [1], I have a source code [2], that is
compiled into a shared library (for a Python extension). The hardening
flags are switched on, as seen from the build log:

gcc -pthread -fno-strict-aliasing -DNDEBUG -g
