A new version of debian-policy has been recently released, please read
upgrading.txt from it and make any changes required.
Please send the manual page upstream if you haven't already.
There are some non-free files t

Wouldn't it be better to merge your patches upstream and release a new version?
I'm not sure if debian/patches/fix-shlib-calls-exit.patch is correct,
shouldn't you replace exit(1) with return 1?
debian/patches/version-shared-library-symbols.patch only seems to
patch generated files.
Is it a good

bzr is still network compatible back to 0.9 or so.
However, 2.0 changes the default format to the one introduced in 1.16;
users can choose to use an older format, which older bzr's will
access, but this comes with a performance penalty.

I assume you meant bzr as bazaar was removed from Debian after etch.
Sounds like NEWS.Debian is missing an entry about the incompatible
network changes, presumably those came in 2.0. You might want to file
a bug about that.
backports.org has bzr 2.0.3.
I'd suggest asking the alioth admins about

I tried doing the adding ~karmic and ~lucid to the filename with the
control contents changed to whois and mkpasswd respectively but I am
getting this after adding the ~lucid astronaut-common file:
[r...@labtest1 deb]# reprepro includedeb karmic karmic/*.deb
ERROR: 'karmic/astronaut-common-0.9-5~k
Hi, The Astronaut package has a dependency on the mkpasswd command
which was in the whois package in Karmic and is now in the mkpasswd
package in Lucid. How does one make this work for apt-get using
reprepro pool? When I reprepro includedeb karmic astronaut-common.deb
with the whois package depende
Hello all,
I have recently been convinced to migrate a package maintenance
to a Bazaar repository at Alioth. The transfer itself was conducted
from a testing/squeeze system, and succeeded with some advice from
the previous maintainer.
I had a glimps of it already, during my first steps with Bazaa

The package appears to be lintian clean.

Dear mentors,
I am looking for a sponsor for the new version 1.9-5 of the package
"pstotext". I already have a private agreement with the current maintainer
jdas...@debian.org that I will take over the package, but he does not seem to
be available to sponsor the package. Package was RFA since 8.6
