Wouldn't it be better to merge your patches upstream and release a new version? I'm not sure if debian/patches/fix-shlib-calls-exit.patch is correct, shouldn't you replace exit(1) with return 1? debian/patches/version-shared-library-symbols.patch only seems to patch generated files. Is it a good

I assume you meant bzr as bazaar was removed from Debian after etch. Sounds like NEWS.Debian is missing an entry about the incompatible network changes, presumably those came in 2.0. You might want to file a bug about that. backports.org has bzr 2.0.3. I'd suggest asking the alioth admins about
