Thanks. In my digging today I found the archtable - and it
is indeed compiled in. I think the version I have doesn't
have the right/full archtable in it.

missing.

on the package that contains undocumented(7) (manpages)? It seems silly to
me that a package could have a symlink to a non-existant man page in place
of its own non-existant man page.

I have read the materials regarding becoming a
package maintainer and have chosen an orphaned
package. However, either I don't quite
understand the correct order of things or there is
an inconsistency in the new maintainer docs. My
money is on the former.
