Samba 4.9.5 is not a sane option.

(or Michael's repo) is the approach I'll take. Hopefully the Samba upgrade will

uch breaks Windows 10 (11 too) authentication against the
version of Samba in Buster if the July Windows updates have been applied.
Is this something that would be considered for an LTS release?
The patch *appears* fairly simple but I've not had a go at applying it...
