I couldn't reproduce this bug in the wheezy version and I think it
isn't affected.
I get the following error message:
$ smbclient //server/share -c "posix; symlink nothing broken"
(...)
$ smbclient //localhost/shareddir -c "put /etc/issue broken"
Domain=[WORKGROUP] OS=[Unix]
