number of Debian 11 based images. Now I'm using the same config and process
with live-build 20230502 on Debian 12 to build
scripts/build/lb_binary_local-hooks : line 53, as follow

I think that's not what you want. "exit 1" there, is in a subshell,
and this subshell will end
with exit command or not. Y
