Once in a while, when booting a custom debian-live image, on various PCs
and with various USBs, I get an error like this:
udevd [326]: timeout: killing '/sbin/ blkid -o udev -p /dev/sda'
This error repeats itself indefinitely in a loop (the image never boots)
and I have to hard power down.

Lastly, I've upgraded all the packages in my live Debian system. since
this upgrade, the kernel isn't able anymore to mount a 'vfat' filesystem.
dmesg is reporting: "vfat: Unknown symbol utf8s_to_utf16s_fixed".
I have asked in the kernel mailing list how to solve this problem and
