The manual says to use gparted to access the space left on a USB key after
copying the live image.
Is this the same as using fdisk to add a type 83 partition (e.g. sda2) to the
device and creating an ext2 filesystem on it?
Thanks,

I copied debain live to a USB key and then added a new partition /dev/sda2 on
which I put an ext2 filesystem, labeled home-rw.
This partition is not mounted as /home at boottime.
Any suggestion or hint to troubleshoot the problem?
Thanks for your help,
Antonio

The USB key Debian live softphone is essentially working.
The only problem I have to solve is that I have to manually execute alsaconf
everytime I boot and answer OK or YES to all the questions.
Is there a way to have this task executed by a script?
Thank you to all for your great help.
