I have created a live system for Swiss schools (based on Debian Live) that
includes several generations of proprietary drivers for ATI and NVIDIA cards.

Hello,
I have just attempted to do a new live build today and I get this

Ronny & mail-list,
Thanks for the link. I can't use the 2 GB iso as one computer has only
a CD drive, and the DVD drive in the other is suspect. I used the boot
iso and it boots. This is fine to do an installation, but not I need a
livecd that has a graphical GUI.
So, I have a question to all.

those are inconsistency in the repositories we can't influence, please

depends on how timely squeeze is due; if there's hopefully enough time
to have more or less a good replacement for 1.x until then, then yes,
i'd very much like to see live-initramfs 2 for squeeze.

Daniel,
Thanks for the note. Some questions. If the bootloader gets the
setting right, why can't the rest of the code get it right? In both
cases, the video has to be set up correctly to work. I realize that the
xorg code is being used for display, but it still seems illogical that
