Hello Marchu
Take a look at:
https://debian-live.alioth.debian.org/live-manual/stable/manual/html/live-manual.en.html#435
Should explain it, I think.

I should also note, that the initrd gets created with the stock debian
kernel during live build, and that my custom kernel package does
trigger update-initramfs when I install it manually in the chroot.
Where can I look to make sure my kernel packages meets the
requirements live build wants for tri
Daniel, for this one I used make-kpkg with the --initrd option against a
recent Ubuntu LTS kernel source from git.
Thanks for the hook Michal, that's what I plan to do as a last resort.

you probably didn't build it right, how did you do it? did you use make
deb or kernel-package or something, rather than properly rebuilding a
patched debian source package?

the proper and supported way is to build a complete kernel tree, upload
it to a repository, use it from there. this is the only use case we
really test.
anything else might or might not work at a given time, e
mmm, sorry there is already a threat in the list that describes
it in a similar way:
http://lists.debian.org/debian-live/2008/04/msg2.html
I have built the aufs module with module-assitant
and now works fine.

Hi,
because I want to add real time support with RTAI,
and It´s necessary to apply a patch to the kernel and
to compile it.
Thanks.
Miguel.

why? generally, there is no need to build your own kernels.
