Yes I both checked the sums AND verified that the actual cd is bytewise equal to
the original image.
On 2 different pc's.
So yes the image is ok.
I'm told there is a syslinux bug around.

I downloaded & burned the prebuilt image

(I tried also the gnome & kde versions, but they do not fit on a cd even with
