busybox, from this point the execution of booting scripts in initramfs becomes
erratic,

lower readonly file when we are modifying the corresponding file in the most

That is a case to be carefully analyzed, it's better to expose it in linux-fs-

another overlayfs mount will be waiting for the same inode but it can not be
available until the current function had finished, the kernel wll detect this
uncoherent situation and print a dump.

The Debian distribution includes wc as a built-in command in Busybox,
therefore including another wc is not needed,
unless that we use a custom Busybox,
and taking care of custom cases should not be a live-initramfs task,
