I had a system crash but I was able to find the configs I used for this.
It only applies to sysvinit in the form I did it.
I modifed the file lib/live/config/0170-sysvinit so that it has the
following:

Ok, so IFF there is a bug it is in apt. I still suspect a bug because
NONE of the Recommends
