The problem is, that it did not end up in an bootable image.
I don't understand, why a minimal packagelist with gnome added
does not work, but a gnome packagelist does. There is no error
visible. Maybe it was caused by a thing I did in the interactive
shell. I will try again and report...

Building a system with the debian-live-devel list selected will always
fail for three reasons:
- grub-pc and grub-legacy are both selected, but they conflict.
- kvm-source is not available.
- kqemu-source is not available.
This is easily fixed by removing gru
I installed avahi-daemon and the removed packages in the interactive
shell. This worked, but then the image is not created. The system
seems not to be clean. If I use the gnome-packagelist, there is no
such problem. I did not an explicit include of avahi-daemon, but it
will be installed because of
Must I create /etc/live/config.conf on the host system, or
via chroot_local-includes in the live system? The parameter
"boot=live" is a bootappend parameter? The manual doesn't
describe that clearly for me.
Can I add a /etc/group via chroot_local-includes to add my
user to more groups?
Am Montag,
Yes, I can use hooks. But the wiki says to use the adduser
script of live-initramfs, which doesn't exist anymore.

How can I change the user details (password, full name
and groups) in Squeeze? The scripte 10adduser isn't
available any more. Is it also possible to create a
samba password for this user?

For the record, in a near-by Fedora (13, IIRC) it does not work.

Hi!
My problem is building a usb image with live-build in
Squeeze. I used the minimal package list and added gnome
and some other (mostly gnome) programs. But after the
build process, avahi-daemon cannot be installed correctly,
and the most gnome packages get removed again. The message
is "All runl
