if you use live-helper from sid, you only need to do:
lh config -r live.debian.net
and then rebuild.

iso-hybrid images can be written the same way as a img to a pendrive,
that's why they are called 'hybrid'.

I was taking a look at the link you provided:

and I don't see any .img image in order to copy it directly to the pendrive.
Could you please instruct me about the procedure I should follow to install

I'm trying to make an iso-hybrid image, and everything goes fine up to
it stopping with the message
binary.sh: 5: isohybrid: not found
This occurs using live-build a25 from sid. I'm building on a Lenny system.
