ubuntu is possible through the --mode ubuntu mechanism; knoppix is not a
real distribution in the narrower sense, so no support for that.

By default live cd creator uses Debian lenny/squeeze repositories to build
systems.
Is it possible to add Ubuntu/Knoppix or any other debian derived distro's
repository instead of debian?

as a test seems to have worked. I have a binary.iso of around 193 Mb in

I have local debian mirror (on server created by debmirror) mounted by
nfs in /mnt/debian on my laptop. I set all options:
