Hello, I have asked this question quite a while ago: How do I keep kernel and module files out of the main squashfs? For the longest time, the answer I got back then worked very nicely for me - a config/binary_rootfs/excludes that looks like this: --- /initrd.img* /vmlinuz* /boot/* ---
