Any pointers are welcomed.

you can't unless you always rebuilt the initrd in hacks as we did
before; normally, the initrd has been last updated by any package during
chroot_packages* (mdadm, cryptsetup, loop-aes, whatever),

Hm, yes, but the rules file would still be inside the initrd. This was
probably broken by 722a1b67907edb0529f38b63aefc9de950e1733b..

lh_chroot_hacks should take care of it before the generation
Hi,
after generating a live image:
# cd binary/live
# cp initrd.img-2.6.29-686 initrd.img-2.6.29-686.new.gz
# gunzip initrd.img-2.6.29-686.new.gz
# cpio -i initrd.img-2.6.29-686.new
31790 blocks
# find . -type f -name 70-persistent-net.rules
./etc/udev/rules.d/70-persistent-net.rules
70-persisten
(Also sending to you directly, as I'm not sure you read the list)

Dear Debian Live Project,
LinuxCD.org is proud to announce the availability of a Multiboot USB Live

You will find this product there :

Are you able to announce it on your site ? A donation for each products can

no need to build the module yourself; loop-aes is available in the
archive though the conglomeration package, and live-helper automatically
adds it once you enable encryption. if still somethings wrong, the other
parts of your hook may be of interest though.
