not this can be enforced in specific
countries, it is now compatible with the GPL as far as I can tell.
Can anyone who had a problem with the old licence appendage confirm
that the new one looks okay?

Jesse, the upstream developer of RT3 assures me that they have no
intention of stealing the copyright on code that hasn't been
intentionally given to them for the purpose of inclusion in RT. He's
in consultation with Best Practical's lawyers about how best to
re-word it to reflect their intentions.
Regarding the 3rd paragraph of the licence in README and elsewhere as
discussed previously on debian-legal:
# BEGIN LICENSE BLOCK
...
# Unless otherwise specified, all modifications, corrections or
# extensions to this work which alter its source code become the
# property of Best Practical Soluti

Could I have your opinion about the Open Software License version
1.1? It has a few differences that may make it more acceptable as a
free software licence.
I'm summarising debian-legal's problems with OSL 1.0, merged
with OSL 1.1. Where there were substantive c
rs are not held responsible for any defects
or shortcomings in the software, or damages caused by it.
There is no warranty for this software. Have a nice day.

n.
However, this seems to be contradicted by section 2.1.5 because
binary 'hitop' is capable of running without libssl.
I'm becoming increasingly frustrated by parochial laws in just one
country affecting a global distribution.

I want to package something with this license. Is it acceptable to
go into main? I'm most concerned with the 2nd paragraph -- does it
pass DFSG 1?
Thanks,

Could you confirm that the IBM public license is valid and that
the below-mentioned mix of licenses is allowable in main?
Thanks,
