a)Error 1221 Directory 913962 disconnected from directory hierarchy
b)Error 1201 Ext2 superblock contains illegal information
3) Can I restart a 'bombed out' Debian install without reformatting etc ?

Fixed the disk problem.
Botts with disk errors but now getting interrupt Aieee error
Found all the logs but nothing of interest that I could see
Will reformat Debian partitions and try agin

Finally got Debian woody running on my DELL Inspirion 8500, sort of :-)
I installed kernel 2.4.8 and it now boots without an Aieee error.
X works using the NVidia driver but I can't get a BIG resolution running,
such as 1900 x 1200. I know this resolution can be achieved as I have seen
