Be advised that libqt3-mt-dev install will rip out xorg. xlibmesa-
something or other is incompatible. So you'll have

Bob, find attached my /etc/apt/sources.list, /etc/apt/preferences, and
/etc/apt/apt.conf.
as you can see, there are a variety of ways to attack the problem
you've presented, but
-scratch
which will try to satisfy the dependency prob all from unstable.

You won't do damage to the machine by running the stock kernel, but
it's kind of like running on a slow track with Talledega-style
restrictor plates in the manifold - you won't see the best performance
for the environment.
