I am installing debian on a compaq armada 110. I think it runs too slow so maybe I have some misconfiguration. Can anybody give me a hint os how to configure it more properly? I would thank a lot if somebody tells me how to deactive the automatic click when you push the touchpad, I brings me lot

I am installing debian on a Compaq Armada 110. Is there any way to know which hardware does it has in order to recompile kernel? or maybe a web where I can find it. I want to do so because it goes really slow (700Mhz!!!) and I think it is because of lack of optimitzation. Thanks a lot.
