I've been using debian for a long while then switched to ubuntu on my laptop
for suspend to ram support.
This week I decided to give lenny a try and installed it on the laptop.
Everything seemed to go fine (except s2ram) but then I noticed that the fan
never turned on. I made some tests with cpu
I've been struggling with suspend to ram for two weeks and finally got it
working!
My laptop is a 2004 acer travelmate 290 (centrino 1.4, ipw2200, intel 855gm
graphic card). I used to run sarge on it then switched to ubuntu because of
suspend to ram ability working out of the box. Now I'm glad t

Actually s2ram and pm-suspend work only if invoked after s2disk, else starting
with a normal boot instead of resuming from disk system freezes with blank
screen and no keyboard.
That's pretty wierd. I'll try to investigate.

this results in deleting other modules (if compiled), such as orinoco
and so on. that's a 0.7 release problem: release 0.6 create its own
directory called ipw and deleted that upon make uninstall.

any success story about tv-out and 855gm?
I've tried myself on a PAL tv and got black & white output on tv with a
very low resolution. I guess there should be some way to tell the driver
which PAL standard to use and some specific section about tv display.
some hints?

arge ipw2200
module that works ok except that it doesn't work with wpa_supplicant
from sarge (3.8). The solution is: ipw2200 1.0.3 from sarge and
wpasupplicant 4.2.1 from etch/sid. All work fine (suspend, hardware
switch management, ecc.).
