Hello,
This may be useful for people who would like to try out if the latest

Flavio posted on the fglrx list that a new 8.24 version compatible with
X.org 7.0 is available for testing.

Hello,
After upgrading from version 8.24.8 to 8.28.8-0.1 in sid on a Thinkpad T43, I
observed this strange behaviour. Kernel is 2.6.17-2-686.
$ glxgears -printfps
1127 frames in 5.0 seconds = 225.244 FPS
1120 frames in 5.0 seconds = 223.986 FPS

First of thanks very for the help. I tried it again; same result, ie, no
hardware acceleration.

Dear all,
I installed pcmcia-modules-2.2.17_3.1.20-2k1 and there was a number of
"undefined symbols" messages when the pcmcia modules are inserted.
The problems seems to be a kernel incompatibility.
The package page at debian says that it's for kernel 2.2.17 package
