n this thing works very
well its not that great in a meeting environment. Using the mixer and
turning everything up except the mic input (which I decrease all the
way) doesn't work. I was wondering if anyone has tried this on a

I've been running potato for a while and have upgraded kernels when they
released new ones into the distribution points. So, I use kpkg to make
my
custom kernels and I've done it three or four times now and I've got my
routine

I finally convinced myself that I wanted to upgrade past potato. I had a
desktop I did last week and I figured out all my little issues with Xfree 4
(course that was a mach64). Well I let dist-upgrade chew for a while and once
I finally got it finished I added all the stuff for X v

I suggest running lsmod, and making sure the irda module is mentioned.
If not insmod it. If your 100% sure you have irda all setup in the
kernel and the module is loaded, try upgrading to a newer 2.4 series
kernel.
