Does anybody know if the Analog Devices SoundMAX chip is supported by any
kernel?
Thanks,
Jason

Which module?
I see the AD1816(A) and the PSS which lists several Analog Devices chips. Is
there a way to tell which chip I have, other than trying several insmods?
Thanks.
Is there a driver for the ati radeon mobility for x 4.1?
I set my notebook up using the radeon driver, but X dies complaining that
there are no devices available. Switching the Device line to "Standard VGA"
brings it up, but at vga16.

Compaq presario
I built APM into my 2.4.17 kernel on Sid on my Compaq Presario 2700T (which
now has sound thanks to this list :), but when I halt it, it goes through
the powerdown, but ends up at a black screen with the power led still lit.
Is there a special way to shutdown a notebook or something that needs to

I have a Compaq Presario 2700T and instead of a mouse wheel it has a
four-way scroll button. Is there a way to get this to act as a mouse wheel?
And perhaps to have the left and right buttons on it act as a middle click?
(Since they forgot to make a third mouse button...)
Thanks,
Jason

My compaq has scroll buttons right below the two 'mouse buttons'. I've tried
enabling them in X (4.2.0), by adding
Option "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"
and playing with the numbers using 3 & 4 (because there is no third button),
3, 4, 5, & 6 (because there are four buttons), and 4, 5, 6, & 7 (same
