We are looking at purchasing a few laptops for the office, and are considering Sony VAIO's. Does anyone have any experience with them running debian? Potential problems? Suggestions on models/addons? Thanks. J.R. Blain

Thanks all, for the comments relating to the VAIO's. I'll have to check through model numbers, and other things later, but considering the few problems mentioned, they'll probably be what we end up going with. Thanks for the advice. J.R. Blain

If you can get the hard drives both plugged in at once, you should be able to partition/mkfs then copy everything to the other drive. cp -a --one-file-system /* /mnt/newdrive (and repeat for each partition). Then it should be as simple as booting with the rescue disk, and re-running lilo. (after re
