Yes, I have an ATI Technologies Inc Radeon R250 Lf [Radeon Mobility 9000 M9] (rev 0 1) and I have the same problem with kernel 2.6. Without X11 the kernel works fine, with X11 the laptop freeze. This is my output of glxgears, with gnome 2.4 and kernel 2.4.22-ac4: 6691 frames in 5.0 seconds = 1338
