.2.19 kernel. I've been unsuccessful
getting 2.4.x compiled and working. The 2.4.x kernel compiles, but the
PCMCIA package won't.
Any help is appreciated.

I had similar problems with my laptop and desktop as well. Do you have
GPM setup to auto-repeat the mouse? If so, turn it _off_. Repeat
protocol works fine in a text console, but causes X to become
_extremely_ erratic...

Has anybody tried installing LinuxDA on a PalmIIIX? I just got one from
work and am interested in installing Linux, but the directions that come
LinuxDA only apply to a Palm Vx, not a IIIx.

the same result.

I was able to load the 2.4.20 kernel back backing off to a i386 specific
build rather than the 686 build. Strange, since the laptop has a Pentium 4
processor. Is there any know incompatibility between the 686 build of the
kernel and the Pentium 4?
