I believe this card is supported by the new ath5k driver module in newer kernels. I have used the G650 (same chipset I believe) with the MADWIFI in the past. It might be the ath9k driver. The reason you are not getting any lights is that the driver is not loaded for it Try "modprobe ath5k"

Ignore part of my post. I looked closer at the lspci output. That is not an Atheros chipset. Dlink tends to switch around between models I am not sure which driver is used for the Texas Instruments ACX 111 chipset. I have tried to use either Atheros or Intel for my wireless chipsets...
