I intend to transfer my working notebook Acer TravelMate 3040 from
Windows to Debian 5.0.
Can anyone told me is it possible? Do you know this notebook workes with
Deb ot not? And if it work does it work stable?

I have not tried Debian, but just for kicks, I tried the live Ubuntu CD
(Intrepid Ibex) on my new Acer Aspire 5735Z, and it worked just fine, detecting
all of my hardware normally. I am planning to install it to dual boot with the

If not sure,if all the hardware works with debian
maybe best to do first a dual-boot installation.
To leave a windows installation there, too.

than any windows.
