I have a X700 mobility and just after instaled fglrx using step-by-step from
- http://www.stanchina.net/~flavio/debian/fglrx-installer.html - and
start X server my screen got Black.
All steps were done right and fglrx module was loaded right too with modprobe.

I forgot to mention that I don't get any error messages, neither from
stdout, neither under /var/log/messages, neither under dmesg... So
apparently everything should work OK under 2.6.11.8 as it does for
2.6.10...
