Yeah its a reverse engeneering issue,
the wifi card in an ibook ( or powerbook) is a broadcom chipset, they
dont have a kernel module compatible with linux.
So stay clear of broadcom based anything for linux compatibility reasons...

The option "SHM Config" must be "on" in your X86Config-4 (or whatever version
of X config you use) for some features to work.

I got this laptop yesterday, and tried t install Debian Sarge, which was
successful except that X 4.3 didnt like the 1024x480 resolution. I went ahead
and upgraded to Xfree86 4.5 and now my resolution is flawless, except
whenever X starts I cannot see any fonts, just Squares instead of lette
