I've recently purchased an nx5000 (the one with Suse Linux preloaded).
While Suse is a very formidable distro, for reasons of consistency, I
would love to use Debian Sarge on it instead. I was trying to find
out if anybody has successfully used the nx5000 with Debian. Of

I've got a T23 running kernel 2.4.26.
I've put a Xircom ethernet/modem card in it, because I
haven't been able to get linmodem running under
2.4.26.
The Xircom card starts off working. The ethernet port
is registrered as eth1, and the modem as /dev/ttyS04.
So far so good.

The nx5000 can come with the Atheros wireless or Intel wireless.
SuSE used the madwifi driver for the atheros and the ipw2100
driver for the intel. In either case, You will probably have
to build the module yourself.
