Pcmcia Problem

Ive just upgraded my laptop with linux 2.6.7 kernel using the debian kernel-image, it boots up fine etc but when i plug in my pcmcia cards it says: "cs: unable to map card memory" as such only one of my pcmcia slots work, if i try to slot anything in the second pcmcia slot it gives the error abov
