get the option "CyberStretch" to work? How can we use the entire LCD?

Try adding "nolapic" to the kernel options. It worked for me on a Sony TR2.

Can someone recomend me an easy to use but still secure FTPd? Nothing
fancy is needed but something that I can easily make a cfg to and that
someone who isn't used to servers of different sorts can lern how to
make changes in the cfg?

the only way I see to use the entire LCD screen is to change your resolution:
if you are using 640x480; try to switch to 1024x768 or even 1280x1024 (depending on
your screen)
