Hi, I have a small LAN at home, and I have some shared disks using NFS.
But it becomes harder with my laptop, since when i'm not on the LAN, NFS
partitions won't work. moreover, i would like to have some 'offline'
feature, allowing me to use a cache of the 'NFS' volume and to commit

Is your kernel configured for PNP? From my 2.6.3 kernel .config:
CONFIG_PNP=y
# CONFIG_PNP_DEBUG is not set
CONFIG_ISAPNP=y
CONFIG_PNPBIOS=y
CONFIG_PNPBIOS_PROC_FS=y
# CONFIG_BLK_DEV_IDEPNP is not set
/proc/bus/pnp is available with that in .config.

The previous post was with a 2.6.4 kernel image. When I boot to the 2.4.25 kernel, the external mouse works. Still don't get any response from the trackpoint (or the buttons on the laptop itself, for that matter).

If it can help anyone, I also have a config for my TV.
My videocard is a nVidia and I use their module.
I put the raw config. I don't like to delete lines, comments are good for
